Worship Celebrations at First Church
What to expect
When you arrive you will be handed a bulletin (program) that will have all the information you need for the service and some announcements.
Sit wherever you like! Our seating is fairly comfortable and padded. There are spaces throughout the sanctuary for folks who use wheelchairs and walkers.
During the service we pray, sing songs, listen to scripture, and hear a brief message from the pastor. We strive to make our liturgy and music as inclusive and accessible as possible.
After the service you are invited to join us in the Fellowship hall for a time of conversation. There is always coffee, water, and snacks available after the service.
ALL are welcome here!
At First church we welcome all people! You are welcome no matter who you love or how you identify, no matter your political affiliations, age, race, ability, no matter your housing situation, immigration status, family situation, or faith background. And more than just welcome you, we invite you to be a part of our church family!
Children are joyfully welcomed at FUMC! In our worship space there is a children’s corner with some quiet toys and activities for kiddos who need to be somewhere other than in the pews.
Hearing Assistance devices are available. Just ask an usher or stop by the tech booth.
Braille Hymnals are available upon request for those who need them. Check in with an usher and we’ll help get you situated.
